The staf were very friendly and helpful.Parking was good only £3 a day and managed to get spot right outside hotel.Breakfast was excellent.
No shower although there was a shower curtain and all the fittings for one.Bath was ok for one night but if staying longer would have preferred a shower.

Good all-round mid-market hotel. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and ideally located in a quiet side street just off the Hoe.

The hotel receptionist was very helpful and the breakfast was nice.
I had difficulty with the lock on my bedroom door and there was no parking.

Staff incredibly attentive. Total customer focus. Had spent previous night in Exeter in horrible Jurys Inn: wish we'd travelled an hour to spend another night here. Rooms not huge, but it's an oid building. 100 metres from seafront and Plymouth Hoe; five minutes walk from shopping centre. Ref. parking comments: hotel has parking vouchers at £3 to park until 10am next day (you can buy as many as you need!)
Wifi also a bit shaky in some rooms, but offered free coffee when using it in lobby. Some guests may require help accessing rooms in one part of hotel (lift, then stairs) but I'm sure the staff would be falling over themselves to help. Door locks a bit fiddly, but again staff were helpful and the locks "did* work

The closeness to the hoe and all the amenities, also really enjoyed the barbican and some of the staff, really enjoyed the in room amenities and the new bathrooms
No Parking, had to move the car every two hours and feed the stupid coin machines. Didn`t care too much for the TV, it was too small and too far away

Jake was on duty when we arrived; his unfailing, appropriate, sense of humour was "just what the Dr. ordered", as we were to attend a family funeral, next day.To discover the book regarding Lady Astor was a bonus. "Thank you" as I was able to purchase a copy of same. We hope to visit again soonest, under more pleasant circumstances. We will highly recommend your Hotel to our friends. It cannot be easy at this time of recession!

The staff were very friendly and helpful - no problems about providing breakfast an hour before usual time. Single room small but very clean and comfortable. Food excellent.
Street parking only - might be a problem if busy.

I was without a shower, but the bath only took about 2 minutes to run with the highest hot water pressure I've ever experienced! I was looking forward to leaving the next day.
The lift was really quick and it felt like you were still moving when you got outside it.

Nicely decorated room and bathroom, comfortable bed, good food, pleasant and quiet location, reasonable price, shampoo etc in bathroom, drinks / kettle in room and tv.
Private parking a little difficult to get in and out but at least off street parking for 4 cars was on offer when booking. Cleanliness - check washbasin drain/plug metal grove and trim at side of bath with panel. Otherwise clean.

Location
From the website and after telephoning the hotel we were led to believe that there was some parking available but ths could not be guaranteed. On arrival we found this not to be the case, parking only available on meters although a ticket for £ 3.00 would cover us for the day. Staff not very helpful on this.
